First established in 1960, Prilla has contributed to the growth of the cotton industry in Africa for over 60 years, producing a significant amount of cotton yarn per day. We owe much of our operational growth and success to our company values of great service, consistent quality, and ethical practices.
We use state-of-the-art equipment from renowned international brands like Toyota, Rieter and Saurer that optimize our production process, allowing us to facilitate reliable material supply with an efficient and fast turnaround. We also provide traded yarns to our client base that are otherwise difficult to access and import.
We developed an innovative statistical laydown management software (PSLM) for efficient & effective cotton quality control. This comprehensive QA system considers many quality characteristics, including staple length, micronaire, colour, trash, maturity level, and more, to ensure that you get quality cotton yarn every time.
We understand the importance of nurturing sustainable practices to ensure the growth and longevity of the cotton industry for generations to come. That is why we implement ISO-certified ethical practices and take part in a multitude of sustainability initiatives like the Better Cotton Initiative and Cotton SA.
